In 1841 census, we have Francis Warcup (aged 55) living in Kingthorpe, with his wife Hannah (aged 50) and their children: Jane (aged 15), Josepgh (aged 11) and Francis (aged 9) - see below

In 1851 census, we have Francis Warkup (aged 67) living in Farmanby with his wife Hannah (aged 67) and their daughter Jane (aged 25). Also in the house are their grand-children : Hannah Bullock (aged >
8) and Jane Bullock (aged 6). [These are their daughter Mary's children, but Mary and her husband John bullock borth died before the 1851 census] - see below

In 1861 census, we have Adam Weal (aged 39) living in Thornton Dale with his wife Ann (aged 36) and their children : Francis (aged 6), Mary (aged 6mo) and Elizabeth (aged 4years) - see below.
Although from the 1861 census, it looks like Adam is not married to Jane, we believe that this is an error on the census:

1) We have only one marriage of an Adam Weal, and it is to a Jane Warkup
2) In the 1871 census, we have Jane Weal and her children living with her mother Hannah Warcup. Jane's children are listed as Hannah's grand-children.

We therefore think that Adam was actually living with Jane in 1861, not Ann.

In 1871 census, we have Jane Weal (aged 46) living in Thornton Dale with her children : Elizabeth (aged 14) andMary (aged 10). Also in the house is Jane's mother Hannah Warcup (aged 81), and Jane's ni>
ece Jane Bullock (aged 26) - see below

In 1881 census, we have Richard Allansoon (aged 29) , living in Thornton Dale with his wife Elizabeth (aged 24) and their son George A (aged 1). Also in the house is Elizabeth's mother Jane Weal (aged>
